SAT and PSAT

We are writing this message to share with you the procedures of this year’s SAT and PSATAll sophomores will take the PSAT.  All juniors will take the SAT.  Students do not need to register for the SAT they will take at Aviation.  Starting 2024, all SATs and PSATs must be administered on a computer.  The College Board will not allow any organization to administer a paper exam, worldwide.  This transition to a purely digital format allows for certain flexibilities, while also creating new challenges.

1.  Students will take their exam periods 1-4 or periods 6-9

a.  Their exam time will not conflict with their shop class.

b.  Students will take their exam during academic class periods and have lunch period 5 if their exam conflicts with lunch

2.  Fifty students will be scheduled for each administration of each exam

a.  Students will be assigned a specific exam day and time and be informed in school

b.  The SAT will be administered from March 5th through March 15th, and the PSAT will be administered between March 18th through March 28th

c.  Students with Disabilities will be allotted extended time and smaller grouping

***They will take the tests on separate days, towards the end of the testing windows.

If you have any questions, please reach out to your child’s counselor.
